hush blogs about parenting challenges, marriage counseling, managing friendships, movies, books, style, pop culture, politics, sex, losing one's religion, skiing, missing urban life and decent food, shitty book clubs, and fruit growing in America. hush has been a SAHM, a WOHM, and a WAHM at various times, and thinks they are all equally wonderful things to be, or not to be. He's Over 3-Years-Old Now, and We Finally Finished His Room
Actually, I lied. This photo is a few months old now, and the room isn't exactly finished. Comforter and rug are by Dwell Studio ordered online from Tarjay; mirror is a thrift store find that we'll eventually spray paint canary yellow and mount on the wall; curtains are very inexpensive grommet ones from Wally World, as are the throw pillows that have done time in several different rooms of the house.
Thanks for the love! @Blue, I should post another picture of what it actually looks like today, with toys spilling out everywhere, the bed unmade, and the letter A written all over the wall in purple crayon.

I love it! Dwell Studio has some of the coolest designs. The whole room looks more expensive than it sounds like it actually was. Good work!
I'm loving your blog so much! Every post evokes so much emotion.
Love it! That view out the window looks great :). And the mirror will look great sprayed yellow.
Nice, Hushmeister! I like your style!
Of course, I'm sure it always looks this neat and tidy with nary a toy in sight, right?
:)
Earth tones, I approve! :)
Very nice! We haven't "finished" either girl's room, and I suspect we never will. We're lame that way.
Love it! Great color scheme and patterns!
Someday I'll hang the decor on the walls of the kids' rooms... someday...
