July 1st - "Henrietta Lacks" Book Discussion Here!

Be there or be square. July 1st. Our book is "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot. It's a compelling one. So much so that Oprah and "True Blood" creator Alan Ball are doing an HBO film project based on it. Hooray!

  8. Are you still around, hush? It's been a while; not that you have any obligation, of course. Just mildly concerned.
Have any of you heard the short bit on Radio Lab about Henrietta Lacks' tumor? It has some audio from the author's recordings, and it's nice to hear these people's voices.
You can find it on the episode called Famous Tumors.
